How To Remove Association Labels From HubSpot Objects Using the Label Peeler

Associ8’s Label Peeler can remove unwanted labels from your HubSpot records! Here’s how to set it up.

You may find yourself in a situation where you need to remove association labels from HubSpot records. With Associ8’s Label Peeler you can automate this process!

Let’s say I have a waffle company. I associate Waffle objects to Contacts and set association labels based on what kind of syrup the contact wants. If a contact decides he no longer wants syrup on his waffles, I’ll need to remove any syrup (Association) labels he has.

Here’s how we can set up the Label Peeler to remove them:

1. I’ll start by creating a Contact based workflow.

2. I have a property on my contact records called Wants Syrup. I’ll set the enrollment trigger to bring in any contacts who’s Wants Syrup property is equal to No.

3. Next I’ll click the + button beneath the workflow trigger and select the Label Peeler action.

4. Under Choose the associated object select Waffle.

5. Under Labels to remove select any labels you want removed. It’s ok if only one of the selected labels is on the enrolled contact. The Label Peeler will still remove it!

6.. If that’s as specific as you want to be, click Save and you’re done!

7. Otherwise, you can take it a step further and make it so that labels are only removed if the associated object has a certain property value. Under Only objects with this property… pick a property!

8. Under …with this value, select the value you need that property to be in order to peel the labels off.

9. Now the label peeler will only remove labels when the associated Waffle’s Waffle Shape property is Square! Click Save and you’re done.
